Studio to Table Event Philadelphia Art Alliance

Studio to Table

You're invited!

Artist Molly Hatch and Rittenhouse Tavern Chef Nicholas Elmi have teamed up to create an artistic dining experience inspired by the sights and tastes of the China Trade. Molly's work is often inspired by historical ceramics, and some of the objects currently on view in her exhibition "Reverie" are family heirlooms that have traces of Chinese influence filtered through European and North American design sensibilities. Chef Elmi has long had an interest in working with Asian techniques and ingredients, and is always conscious of how food is plated and how diners's experience is enhanced through visual presentation. The menu for this event will be a culinary detour from the seasonal American fare served at the Rittenhouse Tavern. The table will be set with custom place settings designed and created by Molly's ceramics students at RISD, who are collaborating with Chef Elmi as part of their coursework this semester.
