Plates Plates Plates!

With just under two weeks until my departure for Atlanta to install "Physic Garden", there's been a lot of glazing and firing going on! Just about every horizontal surface in the studio is covered in plates.

A batch of plates getting their first coat of clear glaze. Each plate gets three coats. The backs are glazed too!

Each plate is coded with letters and numbers so I know its position within the grid.  After the glaze firing, the plates get a wire loop secured with a metal crimp to hang them from.
